Description
We are looking for people who want to start a career as a Field Materials Testing Technician. This is a field position and the technician will travel to construction to assist our clients with testing concrete and/or soils. If you love to be on the road and meeting people, it could be your next opportunity. No experience is required, and you will be trained by our experienced technicians and receive industry recognised certifications.
This position will be based out of our Surrey Office.
What you will be training to do
- Test concrete before the pour and ensure they meet the specifications and industry standards
- Using Nuclear Densometer to measure the density and moisture content of soil, aggregate, or asphalt
- Interpret the test results and to produce reports
- Building relationship with Metro's client and l to foster long term business collaboration
- Travelling to job sites in Fraser Valley

Who we are looking for
- Interested in career in the construction materials testing industry
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle for work related travel
- Good command of the English language.
- Ability to lift and control weights up to 23 kgs / 50 lbs
- Experience as an General Labour/assistant is an asset
- Graduate of a civil engineering diploma/certificate program is an asset

Compensation
$21.00 - $22.00 per hour
